British Wood Floors has had the good fortune of attracting one of Britain’s most experienced flooring salesmen into the team as the national flooring sales manager. Ian McFarlane from mid Wales has had over 30 years experience in the timber trade and more than 10 years working with flooring. He is a man who not only understands the market but who has the drive and enthusiasm to realise the current market penetration strategy.
British Wood Floors produces British made bespoke hardwood flooring and flooring accessories with a focus on top end custom made designs. Ian commented: “Although a superb flooring range is offered, I intend to focus on our ability to produce flooring that fits our client’s exact specifications. Our bespoke design service is one of the best. I’m very proud to be working for a company who still believes that mantra, ‘Britain is best’ when it comes to manufacturing. Our facilities are unrivalled in this country, and I am confident in the knowledge that we have state of the art manufacturing facilities; an experienced, flexible and professional team, who are capable of matching any solid hardwood flooring from over 40 species.”
British Wood Floors offer a wide range of species such as; Oak, Ash, Maple, Walnut and Thermo Oak from the US and Europe; plus it also offers exotic species such as Wenge, Bubinga and Zebrano. Many of the timbers are available with FSC and PEFC certification. Prime grade, Natural grade and Character grade are the three main grades of flooring provided.
Ian also added: “I am not perturbed by the existence of cheap foreign imported flooring, because they are not able to compete on either quality or choice of specification. “ The future looks bright for British Wood Floors
