| Agba's heartwood is pale pinkish-straw to tan coloured; grain straight to wavy or moderately interlocked, fine textured. Weight average 520 kg/m3 (32 lb/ft3); specific gra vity .52. | ||
Mechanical Properties: |

| Brittleheart is extensive in larger logs. Agba's bending strength is low, resistance to shock loads is also low, with very low stiffness and medium crushing strength; bending classification is only moderate. | ||
Seasoning: |
||
| Dries fairly rapidly with little degrade and small movement in service, but exudes oleo resin or gum from pockets and high temperatures should be avoided. | ||
Durability: |
||
| This durable timber is very resistant to decay but the sapwood is liable to attack by common furniture beetle. It is resistant to preservative treatment, but the sapwood is permeable. | ||
